At last month’s Annual Inspection Parade, some of the cadets who found the conditions to difficult to make it through the entire parade, were ably assisted by our medical cadets, and taken to the sick-bay to recuperate.
“Being out there (on parade) isn’t easy. Even the strongest persons have their bad days. Sometimes, you may feel down, and sometimes you may be down. Even when you are down, you are not out. You can still get up and conquer the world.”
These words of encouragement were shared by His Excellency, President Anthony Carmona, when after the parade’s formalities, he chose to visit the cadets in sick bay.
Also joining His Excellency, Honourable Major General (Ret’d) Edmund Dillon, Minister of National Security shared some of the techniques that took him through long parades during his own military career in the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.
Greeting every single cadet in the tent, President Carmona thanked the cadets for their strength of character, and their physical strength while on parade.
