Band Cadet Featured by Pan American Development Foundation

Corporal Ryan Assing continues to persevere in his thrust to be a young exemplar, and to make his parents proud as he grows up in a crime riddled urban community of North Trinidad and Tobago.

assing-screenshotHe is a well known member of the Cadet Force Band, gaining repute from his excellent bugle performances on camps and at other activities. He hopes to one day serve Trinidad and Tobago in the Coast Guard or the Fire Service. Aside from his enrollment in the Cadet Force, Cpl Assing is a student of the Success/Laventille Secondary School, where he is also a school prefect and President of the Student Council.

He was selected for this feature through his participation in the Resistance and Prevention Program.

He was recently featured by the Pan American Development Foundation as it looks at the impact of social interventions on crime prevention in his community and others.
